This is the only episode of the original series in which Van Driessen wears a tie-dyed shirt instead of his usual blue T-shirt with the peace sign.Van Driessen says "okay" normally instead of the "m'kay" which would later become the character's trademark.Despite being killed by the monster truck, Van Driessen still appears in future episodes.This is the first appearance of David Van Driessen.The uncensored version of this short was made available on VHS under the title Spike & Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation, Volume 1.He described it as "awful, I don't know why anybody liked it.
